This Privacy Policy explains how Amboit (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our job evaluation and tracking service (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed), and location you provide at registration.
• Profile & setup data: work authorization, sponsorship rules, target roles, salary preferences, resume text, and related configuration.
• Job search data: job descriptions you paste, AI evaluations, application status, callbacks, rejections, and tracker metrics.
• Integration data: if you connect Gmail, we process recent recruiter-related messages needed to classify callbacks and rejections.
• Technical data: basic logs such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability.

2. How we use information

We use your information to operate the Service, personalize evaluations, save your history, sync optional integrations, improve reliability, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI processing

When AI features are enabled on your account, relevant profile, resume, and job-description content may be sent to AI providers to generate evaluations or parsing results. Do not submit information you are not comfortable processing for this purpose.

4. Storage & security

Data is stored in secured infrastructure (including MongoDB). We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Retention

We retain account and job-search data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting us. We may retain limited records where required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

6. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service (hosting, database, email/OAuth providers, and AI infrastructure where applicable), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. We require providers to handle data appropriately.

7. Your choices

• Update profile and setup information in the app.
• Disconnect Gmail at any time from Setup.
• Stop using the Service or request account deletion.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 18.

9. International users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that data may be processed in the U.S. or other locations where our providers operate.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version.
